The IkiPik isn't Matt only project born out of respect for the catch.
While preparing a pink snapper, Matt noticed the intricate structure of its skeleton, and South West Skeletal was born.
What started as curiosity has become a craft: transforming carefully prepared fish, crayfish and crab skeletons into striking pieces of art.
It's a different medium, but the same philosophy that drives IkiPik, an appreciation for marine life, respect for the whole fish, and making full use of every catch rather than letting any of it go to waste.
