The IkiPik makes practical, tough fish-care tools for anglers who respect their catch — designed and tested in Busselton, Western Australia, by a fisherman who uses them himself.
It started with one problem: there wasn't an iki jime spike on the market that was comfortable to hold, easy to control and tough enough for real conditions on a boat. So founder, Matt Durell built one! The Original IkiPik, with a contoured grip, a bright yellow handle so it's never lost among the gear, and a built-in bottle opener, because in Matt's words, it would almost be a crime to go fishing without a drink in your hand.
More than a spike
The IkiPik has grown from a single tool into a range built around one clear idea: the whole journey from catch to plate deserves care.
- Catch — the moment you land the fish
- Dispatch — the Original IkiPik and our 6-piece ike jime and shinkei jime kit, for fast, humane dispatch
- Care — tools like the IkiPik De-Hooker, built for safe, controlled handling
- Consume — our BBQ range, for turning a well-handled catch into a great meal
Every product is designed to help you respect the fish, protect its eating quality, and make the practical parts of fishing a little easier.
Why it matters
A fish that's dispatched quickly and handled properly simply eats better. Reducing stress and struggle at the moment of capture helps preserve texture and flavour — the difference between an average feed and a genuinely great one.
The IkiPik products are trusted by independent tackle and marine stores across Australia, New Zealand, the UK and France.
